My work reflects a fascination with the human form, not merely as a biological structure, but as a vessel for experience, emotion, and spirituality. Through various mediums such as paper-cutting, textiles, and sculpture, I seek to illuminate the beauty and complexity of humanity, examining how societal narratives and personal histories converge within our bodies.
I often draw on anatomical motifs, transforming them into symbols that offer a lens through which to examine the sacredness of the body and its connection to the universe. I incorporate imagery that evokes spiritual practices, inviting viewers to reflect on their own beliefs and how these influence their perceptions of self.
Memory, too, is a vital thread in my work. I am captivated by the ways our pasts shape our present bodies and identities. By layering textures and forms, I create a tactile experience that mirrors the complexity of memory itself—fragmented yet cohesive, ephemeral yet enduring.
Ultimately, my art invites a dialogue about how we navigate the intersections of these themes, encouraging viewers to engage with their bodies and histories. Through this exploration, I aim to foster a deeper understanding of our shared humanity under the skin and the myriad ways we experience life.
